Back in February, Xiaomi officially confirms the launch event of flagship Mi Mix 2S will be on March 27. However, the company didn’t reveal location details where launch event will be held. Today, Xiaomi releases another teaser to confirm that launch event will be at Shangai.
As far as design is a concern, we heard Xiaomi also adopted the notch design similar to the Apple iPhone X. Later on, we heard reports that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S will have a redesigned selfie camera which is now placed in the top right corner. We have seen a number of renders but today we have the first hands-on real video of Mi Mix 2S which suggests the device doesn’t have notch design instead the selfie camera is positioned to top right corner.
Even the latest teaser from Xiaomi suggests the upcoming device has trimmed bezels from top and bottom. The top bezel is too slim to have selfie camera that’s why it is placed in the top corner. From the front-facing side, the only difference is design most likely will be a new place for a fingerprint scanner.
From what we know so far the Mi Mix 2S will be featuring a 6.01-inches OLED display with Full HD+ screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The rear side is adorned with dual rear cameras and in-glass fingerprint scanner. The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC will be powering the device with 8GB RAM and the top-tier variant native storage will be 256GB. A 3,400mAH battery cell will keep its lights on.
